Crazy Cat VA

Rachel Amies, Owner of Crazy Cat VA

Rachel Amies, Owner of Crazy Cat VA has been a member of BRG Penrith since August 2018.

I am a virtual assistant – similar to a freelance personal assistant/executive assistant – based in Western Sydney.

How much time do you spend on general administrative tasks?

I specialise in providing word processing, editing and formatting, digital dictation, spread-sheeting, data entry and admin support to small businesses, busy travelling consultants and busy executives so that they’re freed up to focus on their existing clients, work at bringing in new clients and get on with what they do best – which usually isn’t their admin!

I provide my services on an ad hoc and ongoing basis. I have 15 years’ administrative experience as well as 8 years’ experience as a qualified solicitor. This has provided me with ample experience in using Microsoft products, honing in my research skills, and having high attention to detail. This has also given me vast experience in drafting and editing and proofreading a wide range of documents.

  • Word processing: having a professional and consistent image across your brand is important. You can save time typing and formatting documents by delegating those tasks to me, a fast typist who is able to format consistently.
  • Editing and proofreading: sending me your draft documents to proofread and edit is a good way to provide objectivity, as when you read your own drafting, your brain will often read what it expects to see and automatically fill any gaps.
  • Digital dictation: time is money. People are typically three times more efficient when verbalising ideas rather than typing them. So dictate your documents and let me transcribe!
  • Research: having me conduct your research will free up your busy schedule so that you can concentrate on other important aspects of your business.
  • Data entry: data entry requires a high attention to detail, requiring a long period of time without distraction. Providing me with your data entry tasks means you won’t need to ignore important calls or emails!
  • I can also assist in spreadsheeting, mail merges and making domestic and international travel arrangements.

I am new to BRG. However, many people come along to meetings, which will allows me to grow my connections with like-minded business people. This will allow me the opportunity to let people know about my small business. I hope to have the opportunity to educate local business people about virtual assistants so that they can benefit from my services as well as me having the benefit of receiving referrals.
I have been enjoying meeting other like-minded business people and learn more about their businesses via the presentations made at our breakfast meetings.
